Mission
- Serve as a communication and coordination focal point for the US Rosaceae genomics, genetics and breeding community.
- Define research priorities based on input from the industry and research community.
- Facilitate scientific interaction and foster dynamic research teams.
- Promote research priorities.
- Coordinate educational efforts from the research community to the industry and the public.

Eight new members elected to the 2008 RosEXEC Committee
New U.S. members : Nahla Bassil, Chris Dardick, Amit Dhingra, Jim Luby and Gayle Volk.
New
International liaisons : Jasper Rees, Dan Sargent and Eric van de Weg..
All incoming members will serve a three-year term from 2008 through 2010 and the Internatianal liasons will serve 2 years. The new members were elected by 39 US Rosaceae members who participated in the web-based voting process.
Thanks to departing members Herb Alwinkle, Amy Iezzoni, Kim Lewers, Jim McFerson and Pere Arus for their dedicated service. Thanks also to the GDR team for the excellent web support. Go to the membership page for more details on the USRosEXEC Committee.
The USRosEXEC committeee are currently being reorganized and on their completion new forums will be created in GDR for them.
