Pyrus V3 Assembly Project Description

Many sequencing projects around the world are depositing ESTs from the genus Pyrus in the NCBI dbEST database. To reduce redundancy and create longer transcripts we assembled these ESTs using the CAP3 program and annotated them through Blast sequence similarity searches, SSR analysis, SNP mining, and other functional characterization. This is the third version of the Pyrus unigene. The CAP3 assembly software was used with a stringency of -p 90. For more information on this project please contact the GDR development team.
