James Crabb received his B.S. in Horticulture from WSU in December 2009, after which he went to work as an Assistant Vineyard Manager in the Walla Walla Valley AVA. In January 2012, he returned to WSU as a graduate student and received his Ph.D. in Horticulture in May 2016. After deciding that a career in plant research didn’t interest him, James decided to return to WSU once again and work on a Computer Science degree. He joined the Main Lab in March 2018 where he works part-time on the CottonGen database, and started taking classes the Fall semester of 2018. Ultimately, James hopes to help bridge the gap between biological sciences and computer sciences.
